Columbia man sent to prison for selling crack cocaine

A Columbia man was sentenced to prison this week for selling crack cocaine.

Timmy Miller, 43, of Columbia, was sentenced to 12 years and seven months imprisonment in the United States District Court in Bowling Green for selling crack cocaine.

Miller was also sentenced by Judge Joseph H. McKinley to three years supervised release following his imprisonment.

Miller admitted to selling crack cocaine on March 27, May 15 and June 29 of 2007.

Miller received an indictment on March 5, 2008 for three counts of “intentionally possessing with the intent to distribute and distributed a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine base, commonly known as crack” in Cumberland County.

Miller pleaded guilty on all three accounts.

The plea agreement dismissed a fourth count mentioned in the indictment for “knowingly and intentionally possessing with the intent to distribute five grams or more of a mixture and substance containing cocaine base, commonly known as crack.”

Assistant U.S. Attorney David Weiser prosecuted the case. It was investigated by the Kentucky State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
