SATURDAY, SEPT. 4
BAILEY REUNION
The annual John and Myrtle Bailey reunion will be held Saturday, Sept. 4 from 2-4 p.m. at Purdy Church Fellowship Hall.
Bring any pictures or memorabilia. Plates, silverware, cups and napkins will be furnished.

ROAD BLOCK
The Adair County Middle School football team will have a road block in Columbia on Saturday, Sept. 4 from 8 a.m.-noon to raise funds for new equipment and other items needed.
GUM GROVE REUNION
Several people who have attended Gum Grove school, which was located between Glensfork and Fairplay, are planning to have a reunion with a potluck meal on Saturday, Sept. 4.
It will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The meal will take place at noon.
Since the old school house is no longer standing, the get-together will take place in the picnic area of the Old Concord Church, 5996 Fairplay Rd.
Everyone is asked to bring food and drinks for their family and to come and have fun visiting with the old gang.

HOMECOMING
There will be homecoming at Hutchison Community Church on Sunday, Sept. 5 with singing by Living By Faith and preaching by Fro. Darrell Pelston.

MONDAY, SEPT. 6
BUY, SWAP, SELL, TRADE DAY
The annual Buy, Swap, Sell and Trade Day is Labor Day, Sept. 6 located on the Public Square in Columbia. All vendors are welcome. Set-up starts at 7 a.m. and is on a first come, first serve basis on outdoor display spots of 15 ft. wide for $25. You must bring your own table and chairs.
Reservations for limited spots for concessions with electricity for an extra fee. Call Charles Grimsley at 384-5658.
A concert will be held at 3 p.m. on the square featuring the band Salvage.
Everyone is invited to participate in this event on Labor Day sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and Columbia Parks and Recreation.
TUESDAY, SEPT. 7
BLOOD DRIVE
There will be a blood drive on Tuesday, Sept. 7 from 12:30-5 p.m. located in the fellowship hall at the Columbia Church of Christ at 501 Jamestown St.
KNIFE SWAP
The Adair County Knife Club will have a knife swap and auction on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at the Columbia Masonic Lodge basement with proceeds going to Kosair Charities.
Doors will open at 3 p.m. and the auction starts at 5 p.m. Admission is $2 and concessions will be available.

VOICE CONCERT
Marciano Santos, a 2001 graduate of Campbellsville University, will perform in concert Friday, Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. EDT at the Gheens Recital Hall in the Gosser Fine Arts Center at 210 University Drive in Campbellsville.
Admission is free and the public is invited.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 11
FALL FESTIVAL
The Homeplace on the Green River will have its Fall Heritage Festival on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There are openings for arts and craft vendors. Booth rental is $10.

REVIVAL
Columbia Christian Church will hold a revival Sept. 12-15 at 6:30 p.m. nightly. Bro. Bill Welker will be the speaker. There will be a 30 minute mini concert nightly before the meeting.

SINGING CONVENTION
Planning is underway for the Adair County Singing Convention in Columbia on Sunday, Sept. 19 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Every church in Adair County is invited to participate with songs of worship and praise and chorus, soloists and other groups sponsored by the Adair County Heritage Association.
Freewill offering will be received for the preservation and reconstruction of the Adair County courthouse.
